[TenTec] Black Cabinet Paint?

Hi everyone,

I doubt I am the first person who has been tempted to touch up or 
re-paint a cabinet, but I can't find any good info when searching the 
archives of the reflector regarding the black (textured?) finish used 
by Ten Tec on the Scout 555 and some of accessories (antenna tuner / 
937 PS) in that line that have black cabinets.

Any thoughts or suggestions?
