I have the Pegasus and Orion on the N4PY Pegasus and Orion Control Programs. I
operate around 75% of the time using Carl's programs on the Orion and of course
100% of the time with the Pegasus.
I operate so much with Carl's program with my Orion I forget how some of the
Front Panel Controls work and have to read the manual again.
Two years ago I told Scott at Ten-Tec " Bring the Orion out in the Pegasus
package, drop the second receiver and I will be at the front of the line to get
one". I still would be at the front of the line today. I love the Orion and
find it the best CW radio I have ever used. Now before some of you go and say
"well what have you used or owned", well I had one of the first Omni VI Plus
out, I still have my Omni C, Pegasus, T-Kit 1340, Century 21, PM-2 and PM-2B.
I can not forget my first Ten Tec Radio, the Late and Great Triton IV Digital
(Model 544). I have also had and used the Argo 556 and Argonault V.
I have been looking at the Flex Radio, it is interesting and I may have one
down the road. I have to upgrade my computer first. Computer control is the
next big jump in ham radio so get on the wagon now.
