Seriously, I have given thought to building a vfo into a small remote head along
with the essential controls so I could mount my Scout under the seat. I usually
only operate mobile on 17 meters, so the plug in coils don't bother me. The
beauty of the Scout is it's simplicity - I don't want to fiddle with menus or
memories while driving.
