[TenTec] Filters (ten tec plug-in)

I have a couple of 219 filters, and they are not similar  looking. The 
circuit boards are different, and the newer one utilizes several  more 
capacitors 
than the older one.
 
My question is:  What is the difference in  performance?  Is a 25 year old 
219 as potentially as "good" as a  factory fresh one, or have the newer ones 
been significantly improved?  A  quick comparison of the two revealed little 
difference to these  ears...
