Oooookay.... I have some thoughts on this latest press release...
1) Now we know why V 2.0 is taking so long for release. These guys
don't have unlimited resources and it looks like we now know what they
have been doing.
2) I'm a Ten-Tec fan but I think this is about the worst move they
could have made. It would have been way better "politically" to have
released the major re-write (V 2.0)and made Orion "one" owners happier
first.
3) Usually its best to pick the mature product over the latest release
- a' la' Microsoft. Looks like we now know what their business model is
patterned after...
I don't have a problem with a "II" model. The timing could have been
better orchestrated. I own and operate an electronic manufacturing
company and while I understand that you have to advance, you do it in
the way that doesn't alienate existing customers.
