Gary, I think you and Dan have made the most sense of what I have seen in
the last couple of days. I also have the Paragon and Corsair II and would
not get rid of them for the world. This is after running the FT1000D for a
number of years. Try repairing that baby. I sent my Paragon back to Ten
Tec last Jan for repair of one of the oscillators and for the paultry sum of
$82.00 have a unit that is damn hard to beat. True the turn around was 4
weeks just like they said, but I know of few shops that will do better and
none at that price. I should know, I ran a shop specializing in Collins for
many years. If I want to see a scope I just turn on the HP 141T and can see
all the picture I want. The computer is on the other side of the room with
no connection to the rig. Keep of the good thoughts.
