The serial numbers of the rigs (Triton IV vs Triton IV Model 544) may not be
the same series and thus the blanker will probably work as is on your rig.
A call to Garland Jenkins at Ten-Tec service ought to clear it up for you if
the fellows here can't.

Does anyone know what the difference is between
the Ten-Tec Digital Triton IV Model 544 Noise
Blankers Model 249 and Model 249/MK?

The Model 249 Instruction Sheet says there is a
Modification Kit required to install the 249 in a
Triton IV, with Serial No. below S.N. 1350. My
Digital Triton IV, Model 544, is S.N. 1130.

The Model 249/MK is used for S.N. below 1350.

Does anyone have any information on what is
involved to make a 249 into a 249/MK N.B.?
The pictures look identical in the manual.

Any help would be appreciated!
