Guess you are using the Y cable to use both control and the 301. I use
the "sport" jack for rig control and have no problems. I think you might
find that the "Y" cable may be the problem. In the back part of the
manual is a schematic of the onboard 232 pinouts. What pins do the 301
use.? There is also a programming guideline in the manual. Have you
tried unplugging the 301 and see what happens.? Try eliminating the "Y"
cable also. Just some off-the-wall suggestions. I'll look thru my manual
in the morning.
