I am frustrated because I am away from my Orion and can't download the new  
software and check these things but . . . 
 
Does changing the filter taps make a difference?
 
I would find a loss of 6 db audio to be a BIG problem.  Typically  when using 
the narrowest bandwidths, the signal is weak already and you can't  afford to 
lose 6 db in that situation.
