Well, maybe it's necessary to think outside the box a bit.
While it may not be possible to phase lock the receivers, perhaps it's
possible to get a bit closer through a fixed (or variable) calibration
adjustment.  N4PY offers a "calibration" feature in his remote control
software that permits setting the display to the correct frequency when the
master reference oscillator (and thus display calibration) is off a tad.
I've always thought this concept could be applied in T-T firmware to prevent
the need to tweak the master reference when the radio is off a few Hz, and
perhaps it could be applied to the Main/Sub difference as well -- not a
phase lock soltuion, but not off 6 Hz, either.
Seems straightforward, but I could just be slow -- and I'm sure many would
agree the latter is the case :-)
