Having used the scratch-pad on my Omni-6+ for many years, I miss it now on Orion. I like to have a fast, single button way to return to a 'nest frequency' where friends hang out. When not using the sub, it can be conveniently parked on a favorite freq (with no antenna and muted if desired). Now you're free to stray from home but return instantly at any time by hitting the B>A button. It's the fastest way I have found and is the equivalent of the old T-T scratch-pad. 73, Roy K6XK _______________________________________________ TenTec mailing list TenTec@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/tentec |
