I don't know about the Netherlands, but I'm looking at the latest issue of
RSGB's RadCom. The 566 Orion II is advertised there at GBP 3349, which works
out to $6745 at the exchange rate in today's newspaper. Of that, $1005 is
sales
tax (VAT), with dealer mark-up, transportation, etc., also contributing to
the difference between that and the US price of $4095 plus shipping. VAT in
Holland is 19%, even higher than the UK rate of 17.5%.
One more reason why I'm happy to live in the USA :-)
