[TenTec] rs232 port wont wor´k at paragon I

Hello folks,

I have the following problem, last year I bought a rs-232 (258) port for my 
ParagonI rig. After installing the pisplay of the set is not working anymore. I 
know that the rs-232 board won´t work in conjunction with a giehl chip so I 
used the original TT 3.8 chip.

Can anybody give some some hint where to look to solve this problem?
