Amen. This holiday season instead of buying goods made overseas we can also support local businesses by buying gift certificates for services--an oil change, computer tune up, lawn mowing, or buy locally made crafts, dinner at a local restaurant etc., etc. I've begun to support local bookstores as well even though I can receive the same item by mail for substantially less.
