I totally agree with JB on this - that set works swell with all sorts of
Orions, Orion IIs, Omni VIIs and other TT rigs with no problems of low
audio output.
Not that I am any expert on fixing radios, but I am sure the problem
lies in the rig, and not in the headphones if this set does not work for
you. (Although there IS a very slight chance the phones are defective
right out of chute... but I doubt that and you can test them on a
computer sound card or other radios to cancel that ever so slight
chance.)

Whoa! I would NOT do that -- it's a fine headset, and for not a lot of
money. You haven't identified your problem yet, but there's no reason to
return it. You can get more cash by finding a sucker to buy your Heil. :)
