I like Stuart's idea of adding some length to the antenna. Don't know why I had
forgotten that back in my novice days I had an 80 meter dipole inverted "v".
Running an HW 101 that I got from N4NT. When I upgraded to general I just cut
about 3.5 ft off each end. Gave me a good match on 75. Put me a couple of
alligator clips on those pieces and when I wanted back on CW I just went out
and clipped the wires back on to the ends, letting them hang down. Worked great
and no tuner.

Best antenna I ever had was 132 ft flattop fed with ladder line. Think I'll try
to slip some ladder line back into the shack.

Thanks to everyone for the advice.
