Most likely it is the actual display. This was VERY common on the Icon IC-756
but does occur fun these Ten Tea monochrome devices as well.
Not much to be done about it but to either live with it or find a replacement
display.
I would ask in the Ten Tec reflector if someone knows of a source because I am
quite certain they are out there.
