Not only that, but be sure your antenna will handle the power as well.
 If you employ a balun in the system, this another item which is often a
weak point in the system.  I prefer baluns that are rated at least 5X
the power I intend run.   Balun power is most often stated as operated
in a "matched condition" which in most all cases where used, baluns are
operated with a very high SWR and thus unmatched and therefore must be
de-rated.
 I have "smoked" several legal limit rated baluns when running less than
1KW PEP.    All of my baluns today are rated at 5KW or more.  For true
and factual and debunked information on baluns, see;

Hi Rich - You didn’t mention what antenna tuner you’re using, but you’ll want
to assure your tuner will handle the power capabilities of the amplifier.

I’ve never dealt with an Amplifier before. A friend gave me a Heath SB-200. It appears
I have to make a connection between the AMP KEY terminal of the ACC-1 accessory connector and
the AMP KEY Socket of the amp. A plug for the socket and short jumper wire were included with
my Eagle. This appears to be all that is needed. I’ll connect from the Eagle to the
Amp then through my Antenna Tuner to the Antenna. Does this seem OK?
