Many thanks for your replies to my question re 538 Jupiter, i have
downloaded the manual and on pages 66-67 saw that relay that you advised
me about, Have in my possession a can of Detoxit, so that will be the
1st option i take, then i can inject a frequency to check the filters if
that doesn't solve the problem.
I know that there was a bad batch of filters manufactured that were sold
the other Japanese manufacturers that caused a RX problems, changed a
number of them myself.
Then i will look into joining the Jupiter user group, for any tips etc.

Looking at the manual, there is a relay in the circuit near the antenna
connector, looks like that is the T/R relay. There is a bunch of relays
on the output filter board. Lots of places for Deoxit! Good luck with

Hi Folks
I am going to be acquiring the above T/RX, in a non working condition,
well not 100%, low RX and no TX.
Is there any other faults that are known about that i should be aware
of?.
No manual at the moment, i think seller states one with it.
Is there a relay involved with T/RX changeover?
As always any and all advice/help much appreciated
This is my 2nd request as the 1st one didn't seem to go anywhere, please
ignore if 1st one surfaces.
