Hello Dave, Thank you very much for your question. The ext. reference input is originally not planned for Phoenix as standard. Maybe as an option. Phoenix is meant to be compact and portable, only a little bigger than the Argo, about the size of the Eagle but a little taller. With this form-factor, designers struggled a bit with space in the cabinet and especially on the back panel.
