To answer the question about 18 and 24 mHz operation with the older Alpha
Amplifiers.

To quote a conversation I had with Ray Heaton. " Use any band except 24 mHz ".

The problem with 24 mHz is that the RF Choke has a resonate point or close
to 24 mHz. They used a B-W 800 choke. This choke will most likely explode if
24 mHz is tried. If it doesn't, you are one of the fortunate,as tolerances
do very.

If one would swap out this choke with one from the Ameritron AL-1500 then
all bands will be possible. Don't try Alpha as they have no substitute.
