The whole night, static was S9 + 20 dB (even on the Beverage) here,
due to widespread thunderstorms. Neither ZS6EZ nor ZS8IR had any
success.
Conditions sounded pretty reasonable--I could hear lots of loud
signals (S9), but none were copiable. Stations away from the storms
would probably have had lots of fun.
I expect Chris will be on at sunrise again, using 1821 and listening
1 up, or possibly a few kHz down.
