Howdy all. I am asking for help in locating the source of a nasty non-local
interfering noise source. Those of you with Beverages would you please look
at 1.865Mhz (plus/minus a few). The signal sounds similar to a TV set horizontal
oscillator buzz. It also appears on or about 3.970Mhz, where it is so strong
that it wipes out a formal traffic net. The signal on 3.970Mhz is strongest
around noon, with the 160 mtr signal quite weak. However, at night the situation
reverses, with the 1.865 sig much stronger and the 75mtr signal weaker. I
therefore suspect that the source is within a hundred miles or so. A couple
more notes, I have frequent power failures but the noise doesn't go away,
which to me
further indicates that the source is not in the local area. Any and all help
sure will be appreciated. If anyone is interested, I shall post a summary
to the reflector. 73, George K7WUW Grayland, WA (West of Olympia, on the
coast)
