One of the simplest and most effective things to do hasnt been mentioned much
with everyone talking about standard Marconi type verticals ... I have found
that getting the current node UP IN THE AIR as opposed to the base of the
antenna is highly effective on all bands. With a 3/8 W inverted L this is
easy and using Elnec or similar tools can let you tailor where the current
node will be. I still say moving to the beach is the best idea tho.
