Hello to all,To all that replied on the bleeder resistors I am sending a
e-mail reply and you should receive soon.
Now to the big question.I have a sloper antenna system for 3.5 mhz. They
are the guy wires for my tower.I am switching them with a remote
relay, the feed point is at 110 ft..I just recently added a 1.8 mhz wire
in parallel to the slopers. In other words i have a 3.5 and 1.8 mhz sloper
with a common feedpoint. What i am wanting to do is to feed the 1.8
slopers alone and in phase. My concept is to feed the 1.8 wires through
thier own relay switch. The switch will be at the feedpoint, remoted into
the shack. Now with phased verticals I know that I need to feed 1 with a
1/4 wave x velocity,etc..the other is fed with 1/2 wave x
velocity...But,in a sloper configuration, where one antenna will be fed
with a 1/4 wave section, can I use one 1/2 wave section to feed the other
two wires or do I need to run 2 , 1/2 wave sections and feed the
non-radiating sloper elements seperately ?????...they will not be
attached to the 3.5 wires, they will be fed alone. Before i start this
project would be intrested in hearing any thoughts on this.73 to all and
thanks.....John,ko5d
