Dear Reflectees,
As expected a very frustrating test for the Pacific based topband
enthusiast. Lots of stations heard including the following: v26b, v47kp ,
pj9b, 6d2x, xe/wa7XXX but nothing from the Carribean in the log.
To "rub salt into the wounds" slept in this morning and woke up to find
topband hopping into Europe. Quickly scanned the band looking for new ones
- called gm7v and he came back like a shot. An ew7 called me on the GM freq
but could not complete due to GM cqs. oh1xx was 5/9+ as were a number of
the European big guns. Band faded out within 5 mins. Oh what could have been??
Lets hope that the "superior mode" cw test will prove more fruitful.
