Dear Topbanders, Tree and others.

Even though the thread regarding common mode currents was a cross post =
the topic is of interest and importance to Top-banders.
Having been in the service industry for twenty five years I could easily =
sumise that these currents are the number 1 cause of damage to
input and output circuits on transceivers and related equipment. (mic, =
keyer, comport) They also contribute to power supply failure in well=20
designed supplies with over-voltage and over-current protection.

People on this reflector should be incouraged to contibute useful =
information, regardless of whether it is related to working a "New One". =
I for=20
one would rather have active and lively discussion of problems and =
techniques rather than just spots of band conditions which are readily =
available
elsewhere on the net.

It is unfortunate that some of our best contributors are now elsewhere =
because of these very narrow interpretations.=20
Otherwise we might very well call topband reflector newone_topband @ =
contesting.com=20

Sincerely,

Bob Kile, KG7D
