Hello Joerg,
Congrats and many thanks for the outstanding performance of your German =
Group from ZL7; we are so accustomed to your DX-pedition efforts that I =
book a one week holiday during that period... and it's always well =
rewarded !
But this year it has not been easy and I got only two very short =
openings:
- The first on Feb.25 at 17.20 - 17.25 at your sunrise, peaking 559 when =
you worked DJ7AA; I called a couple of times up 7, no success but I =
did'nt worry because it was the first day and I know my power (500 W) is =
not competitive !
Later, at 18.00, I worked Jack ZL4WA with 449, weaker than usual, so I =
supposed conditions were not the best and could improve the next =
days.....but the next days I could not hear anything than noise or a 339 =
whisper.
It should have been ridiculous to try even a single call, and those =
"funny" for you pseudo-QSO's, were frustating for me !! there was an I4 =
station 200-300 km behind me calling and calling for two days, finally =
making one or more "449 QSOs", but absolutaly nothing here, so I was =
really worrying about my receiving system.
- The second on March 6 at 16.57 - 17.02 at my sunset, I copied a solid =
569 signal saying UP 8 and I went through at the very first call !! at =
17.05 it was down back in the noise and never heard again.

Joerg I have been remembering till now the last year's P29VXX as my best =
QSO...of course now it has been replaced by ZL7DK: which will be the =
next ???

Great operators for a great Band! Thank you Joerg and DL friends.

Luis IV3PRK
