I worked # 100 last night (K4ERO/HC1).
Since November 1997 I have worked in excess of 93 countries on 160.
I had previously worked and confirmed 7 some of which I duplicated in
this last quest.
There were several thrills along the way. Working 4 JA call districts in
one morning has to be the biggest thrill.
My set up is rather modest : 500 watts (single 3-500z)
an Inverted L with 50 radials. An aging TS 930s
and an aging operator who has been on the air since 1952.
A lot of fun. I owe WW8J and K8RF some special thanks for being the guys
who helped put up the antennas (L + beverage).
I owe a lot to the Top Band Reflector. I now know more about "elevated
radials" (than I ever care to know).
