The VK6's were northwest, as were signals from VK3. ZL beacons
shifted to west from a normal southwest, and all signals dropped
rapidly as dawn approached.

At the first hint of light on the east horizon, VK6VZ dropped like a
rock and the ZL beacons vanished.

The four square was the dominant antenna, beamed northwest. The
300 foot high dipole was down about two S units, and with
conditions fair to VK6 and poor to the more southern path areas
like VK3, 2 and ZL.

It was a North path day, with a band that slammed shut just at
sunrise from the South East.
