ATTENTION EUROPEAN TOPBANDERS!
It's that time of year again when the possibility of Europe-to-USA west
coast Topband QSOs exist at west coast sunrise.
This is on SHORT PATH , not long path!
It has been done in previous years during late December by myself and
other W6s and W7s.
If your sunset time in Europe is from about 1400Z to 1600Z (Northern
Europe definitely is in this category), listen for the USA west coast
after your sunset.
The following is the sunrise time of several western US cities on
December 18th, during the Stew Perry event:
Denver, CO 1416 UTC
Bismarck, ND 1424 UTC
Phoenix, AZ 1427 UTC
San Diego, CA 1445 UTC
Las Vegas, NV 1446 UTC
Salt Lake City, UT 1447 UTC
Koehn Dry Lake, CA 1455 UTC
San Francisco, CA 1520 UTC
Billings, MT 1530 UTC
Portland, OR 1546 UTC
Seattle, WA 1553 UTC
If your sunset in Europe is before any of those west coast sunrise times,
a Topband QSO on short path is a definite possibility!
