Hi Herb,

Reffering the "SNAKE RX Antenna"
you can make the following configuration :

to RX
any "snake" made of coax 75 oms
lenght B <----------------  lenght  190 ft ------->
_______x_____________ A __________________________ shield

--------------------------------------------------\(1) center conductor &
_______x_____________ A ___________________________\(2) shield shorted
50oms 45 ft 145 ft
coax

A= 1 - 2 cm with removed shield covered with silicon to
prevent moisturing of cable. (i.e. part with central wire only)
B(x) - points where shields of 50 oms and 75 oms cables are
connected.
1 and 2 - shorted (main wire and shield connected)

Must use 75 oms CATV cable . Cut and remove the
aluminum shield after 45ft as shown above (for abt 1-2 cm).
At the end shorten the center conductor and the shield
as shown above (connect 1 and 2).
Connect the shield of 50 oms coax coming from your
RX to the shield of 45ft piece. (see above)
Lay antenna on the ground or not higher than 1m above
ground.

I hope you will not be dissapointed by this receiving
antenna. (Eventually you will need to use a 15-20db
preamplifier with this antenna)
