I designed the Flag in the computer using non-metallic supports, but I
just modeled it using a metallic mast and metallic boom, with both
grounded (but insulated from the antenna wire, of course).  There was no
significant difference in the pattern.

The modeling was with a 20-foot mast and 29-foot boom, with the bottom
wire of the Flag 6 feet above ground.  A higher Flag would have a taller
mast than 20 feet, which might have more effect on the pattern.
