Gents,
I have been led to believe that freshwater is not v conductive therefore the
flood waters should have not much effect, compared to saltwater or ground
water. But, having said that, we won 'restricted section' of HF Field Day for
several years from a site on the bank of the River Wey with our wire antenna
(160m doublet) stretched across the river, so who knows. Maybe theory <>
practice.
