I'm considering building a K9AY loop array to replace
a reversable EWE that I've never been all that happy
with. I'm wondering if anyone has installed one of
these reasonably close to a tower or vertical antenna.
The only reasonable place for me to place one would
be only about 30 feet from my tower and about 50 feet
from my 80/160 vertical. The K9AY array would be hung
from a convenant tree. Although it would be 30 feet
from the tower, it would not "looking" directly at it
in any of the four directions. I could model the
whole thing on EZNEC but thought someone out there in
TOPBAND land might have already tried it! If it would
be a waste of time and material, back to the drawing
board.
