I'm not a contester, but for over 40 yrs on the ham bands I've spent many a
contest weekend hunting friends and others whose callsigns were familiar,to
give them points on many bands.

Also, I'm not a very good conformist--- I don't like a laundry list of rules
to make me "politically correct" BUT--- I see the need for the 160M
bandplan to keep the traditional CW end of the band clear of increasing ssb
activity from 75m.

SO-- starting this fall I'll be keeping 2 list. List Nr 1 will be of the
stateside
stations who work ssb below '43 and Nr 2 will be the stations that stay
above '43.

>From now on my contest weekends will be spent dodging list 1 and searching
for list 2 stations to give them as many points as possible--- in every
contest that a stateside QSO counts and on as many bands as possible.

This can be loads of fun and will help to build your callsign recognition
and CW skills to new levels. Also will cut your adddiction to packet spots
by as much as 50%. Re-learn the art of tunning the band for callsigns and
know it's going to help the true friends of 160m out by giving them that
extra pt or so that the other list won't get !

Already working on the rules and plaques -----

73, es be a Gentleman on 160 --- es receive a few meager pts from me on the
other bands throughout the year.
