Very loud K9DX & W8JI heard here at around 12z GMT I think it was.
I have my 160m radials back together after the last typhoon, but haven't
deployed any top loading on the HF2 & therefore can't get a decent match
much below 1900 kc or so.
Until a UA0 called him, I believe W8JI heard a bit of me as I managed to
get a QRZ? back from Tom after I answered a few of his CQs. I probably am
getting about 200 watts into the shack end of the feeder which sees something
like a 13:1 SWR at best at the other end.
Since VR2PX managed to work K9DX, I'd better get my skates on as must
stay ahead of the neighbors (WB9Z had been my best NA so far). Must finish
160m option for my K2, too, as my only working rig with 160 (IC-706) wilts
over much of the band when Sai's transmitting (he's just across the street -
perhaps 250m away).
