Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, Happy New year to all.

Would welcome comments as to using a Carolina Windom 160 special as a
receiving only
aerial mounted at six feet or there abouts. This would mean most of the 22
feet coax vertical feed and balun would be on the ground. Is the feed impedance
going to be so low that its not worth the effort. Or just put up a dipole and
matching transformer. I have one direction where the beverage gets taken down
because of crops in the field. Used to use two rotatable flag aerials fitted
with Create rotators. but both have stripped gears for the second time due to
Moderate wind conditions. Have definitely given up with Create rotators.

Many thanks

Regards
