Wow, quite a thrill to copy Kas for 1.5 hours starting
at 0230! NC must have had the propagation spotlight because
Kas was solid here the entire time. I could even hear most of the
Russians that he was working including UN7AM who was a true
579 at 0259. Kas was on 80 until 0200 and then apparently took
a break until he came on around 0230. Just before Kas began,
Chris A45XR was 569 at 0229. Later Kas peaked 579 and was
actually stronger than Chris at his sunrise. Kas is only using
100 watts to an inverted-vee at 20 meters and I am sure Chris
is using more power, so Kas' antenna seems to be working very
well. He is in an area of Baghdad where there is no industry and
the power lines are still down, so he has little local QRN while
using generator power.
