Bob, K4UEE was the keynote speaker at the main banquet at the
International DX Convention this past weekend in Visalia. His
presentation of the 3Y0X DXpedition was outstanding. He was obviously
quite proud of the DXpedition's safety record when he mentioned that none
of the team members needed even a band-aid in that dangerous environment.
What a bleak place that is! Bob mentioned that the total cost of the
DXpedition was about $550,000.
He said that the 3Y0X four-part QSLs will be mailed within the next week
or so, so watch your mailboxes for yours during the first half of May.
We had about 60 Topbanders attend the Topbanders' DX dinner and all had a
great time. The "160 Meter DX Hog" door prize went to the attendee with
the most countries on 160m. Congrats to winner Bob Leo, W7LR, with his
216 countries!
