This is not to prove or disprove any theory. I run a 5 element Phased array on
160 meters with 48,000 feet of on the ground radials and have had very good
success working DX from Pahrump, Nevada for the past 20 years. One good
example of the operation of radials on the ground was demonstrated in my
working JJ1VKL/4S7 station on 160 meters twice with very good signals. The
operator sent me a copy of his log for the year of operation and he had only
worked 6 US stations during that time. Bill, W0ZV, who is now W4ZV, and W7TVF
worked him twice when he was calling CQ with no takers. I am sure that Bill
can verify this. "Maybe it was all luck but Results speaks for its self" 73,
W7TVF
