I wonder how the weather man defines or determines sunrise time? If we
lived in Hawaii it might be when the sun appears over the water horizon. Here
in
my MT qth we live at 1 mile elevation with nearby mountains going up to
11,000 feet. This morning the paper said 1330z, which is about the time that
AH2L peaked to 579. A half hour earlier Ed was at the noise level about 449.
I
suspect that the weather man sunrise and the sunrise peaks that we
experience on 160m are not directly related. We all experience various signal
and
noise peaks or dips, sometimes none, and sometimes either side of sunrise.
This
all may be a good NM7M topic? Can anyone shed light on this? Thanks. 73
