Sure. Take it back and get your money back.

Before you do, measure the DC voltage. Then look for a linear 
DC power supply that puts out that voltage. Or build one. Power 
supplies are simple. 

You might also be able to fix it with a suitable choke or line 
filter. See my tutorial.
