G'day Topbanders,
Conditions have been excellent during the past few days on
TB. I was able to make dozens of EU QSO-s from South
Florida using 5 watts. Some EU stations had signals over
S9 (SM7BIC, G3ROO, OE3GCU, HA5JI, and many others), and
apparetnly low noise. One comment from HA5JI, who was 599+
last night: He has been CQ-ing for long periods with no
takers. Obviously, it is late in this part of the world
and it is hard to stay up past 1 AM. On the flip-side, I
often miss great openings to JA/Pacific by not getting up
early enough. Perhaps we should look into the possibility
of sending out alerts to interested TB-ers when CONDX-s
are exceptional. (SMS, Skype ?)
