I think the last serious effort on 160 that I can recall was FW2EH in 1996.
He spent quite a bit of time on the band, if I recall correctly.
The FW5RE team is definitely doing a great job on the low bands. Those guys
know the propagation on the low bands, have good ears, and know how to erect
antennas to make themselves heard.
