Hi all
First time QRV for a few weeks here and am now listening to the Beacon for
the first time and what a difference there is! 1999.6 is at least 1 S unit
better [ estimated] than 1800.6 In fact most of the time I am only hearing
part of the 0.6 transmission while I have continuous full copy on 9.6 and
that has been the case for the last hour.
Heres the data so far this morning:
Start time 0700z
QTH FN03bx
SR: 1100z
SS: 0031z
RX antenna for test:
1/4 wave Inverted L with 85' vertical sitting on a hill ~60' above
surronding terrain.
140 1/4 wave radials
Rcvr: Icom PIII
Filter: 300Hz BW
0.6 RST 219 - 319 continous
9.6 RST 419 - 519 continous
