This morning they had a beautiful signal in southwestern VA an hour before
sunrise.  That was when I woke up so I don't know how they were before that.
They were S7-S8 in S2-S3 noise on the meter of my Mark V, listening on a
600' Beverage.

I was lucky enough to work them on the first try.  When I tuned in, they
were trying hard to pull out a USA station TXing on 1824.5.  They are
generally very persistent once they have a partial call.  But, after several
minutes of attempts, they gave up and CQ'd again.  Figuring 24.5 to be
madhouse with non-stop callers, I called on the first relatively clear spot
I found, 1825.17, and they came right back with my full call on the first
shot.
