Hello everybody.

This contest in order to test the new Inverted L 160/80 here with 100 watts and
with more radials. My wife asked me how long it will be like this ... !
It is only 20 radials with diffenrents length from 300° to 045° ...

First, friday evening just before the contest, and just before to go to bed I
changed the band on the base of the inverted L.
I broke the ground wire of the inverted L.
I would like to repear it but it was already 23h loc and it was really late.
Never mind, I had to sleep because I was very very very tired.

Saturday morning, the inverted L was OK and ready to run on the next evening.

I did not have time to be QRV at my sunset, but I just turn the VFO in order to
see if this antenna is OK or not.
30 minutes before sunset, I began to receive US stations.

I started contest at 0815Z, it was impossible for me to be QRV earlier, I have
family obligations, I am not alone here.

I could receive very well some stations like K9DX or K5NA who were real 599
here but they were below 1830.
In FO, we can't transmit below 1830. Our band plan starts at 1830.
I hear also K3WW (or N3WW if my reminds are goods) who was 549 here.

I sent CQ CONTEST during 2 hours.
First QSO with ZL1AZE and after few stations from west coast.
Some of you came above 1830 to send CQ and I had QSO with them when I could
hear them.

K0RF spotted me but nobody came, so I understood that my sigs were very weak.
But, it was funny to receive at the same time US stations with heavy sigs 599+
... below 1830 !
One moment, I was fed up with no qso'ing, I autospotted myself in order to give
points to everybody, but it was the same thing : nobody !
May be there was another station on the frequency with better sigs in USA.
Don't really understand.

Never mind, I did only 11 QSO in two hours (227 points), but I did it. Very
happy to be heard by K1LT in OH (559).
But a little sad to not make more !
Before, with the HF6V, I did not hear anything expept one or two stations very
weak.
I need more power, it will come soon.

The log will be sent as checklog. (autospot not permitted)

I will try to be QRV tonight around 0800z : I will transmit around 1831 and
listen around 1824 because JA band plan.
I will try also to be QRV tomorrow morning (monday) for my sunrise around
1500Z.

I receive a lot sked request to be qrv for your sunrise.
I would like to be QRV 100%, but I have a family life also here. And, I think
you will understand that I can't be all the time on the air.
I am QRV as soon as possible, I do what I can ! Thanks.

Best 73 and DX

FO8RZ Phil
