Ladies and Genomes of the TopBand,
The starting bell for The Stew Perry TopBand Distance Challenge is
drawing near. We hope you are well
on your way to having a spiffy 160M operating situation along with clearing
some time to participate
in the 17th edition of a unique radio operating contest. Dec. 29/30 is the
appointed time interval for
this event. The rules are unique. Go see for yourself at:
www.kkn.net/stew
Imagine getting increased points for working distance as compared to just
another country. Imagine getting
increased points because you were able to work weak stations where
elsewhere it is just too hard...
Imagine sponsoring or applying for a category that is unique to 160M, the
operator or the gear used.
Imagine no more because The Boring Amateur Radio Club allows for and
encourages all that to happen.
Listed below are Radio Operators who have heard the inner voices of RF
competition and responded
by sponsoring plaques. Just look at the categories. What category would you
like to emphasize? A
mere $60 and and Email to me and your category and call will be listed next

160M winners of the 2011
contest should be receiving their package soon.
The sun is trying its best to cooperate with The Boring Amateur Radio
Club as the SFI is hovering around 100
and the solar wind is slow. You need to get the Holiday chores done and
attempt to get some operating time set aside
for this low key or bugged event. Get on the band and get some static and
QSB on you now in preparation for
The Stew Perry TopBand Distance Challenge sponsored by The Boring Amateur
Radio Club.
    73 and I remain,
