Greetings, I've owned the FTDX1200, the TS590 and the K3. IKMHO, the 1200 has a better sounding and more versatile receiver than the 590. The DSP and DNR is definitely superior and the roofing filters provide a few more options when trying to dig out a weak station adjacent to a strong signal. Regarding the K3, Look at what Rob Sherwood has to say.
